Motseng celebrated it’s 25th anniversary on the 18th of September 2023. To mark the occasion we held a soul-inspired Sunday event, the day before, to honour the inclusion of women in business. As such we presented honourary awards to luminaries, former First Lady of the Republic of South Africa, Mrs Zanele Mbeki, Mrs. Boitumelo Mosako, and Mrs Philisiwe Mthethwa.

Aptly named, the “Light and Legacy Luncheon”, the event was a celebration of women paving the way to leave lasting legacies for the next generation of women. Female thought leaders, change-makers, and luminaries scripting a new vision for Africa. 

Invited were some of the top African women in business who all elegantly dressed and styled according to the event theme of vibrant hues of orange and gold, to depict the ever glorious African sunrise. Held at the magnificent Westcliff Hotel, it was a time to relax, in an experiential ambiance of African sisterhood, abuzz with authentic conversations, heartwarming tributes, and inspiring conversations, as we reflected on Motseng’s business journey.

The event was facilitated by media personality Pabi Moloi, with Mrs Gloria Serobe who was our esteemed guest speaker, and performances by the incomparable powerhouses Simphiwe Dana and Napo Masheane.
