Merafe has extensive capital markets and financial services experience including two decades of real estate investment banking and capital markets deal execution, PPP, infrastructure and diversified industrials private equity and portfolio investments & management.
Currently she leads the M&A & investments across infrastructure industry focuses including Energy, PPPs, Telecommunications, Facilities Management, Property Development & Manufacturing for Motseng. This includes the management of all the corporate finance and fund-raising activities.
Previously, she was a Director at One Thousand & One Voices, a sub-Saharan private equity fund, where she led negotiations and due diligence for agri-processing and FMCG acquisitions. Merafe also served as the Managing Director of Motseng Investment Holdings, spearheading infrastructure investments and successfully turning around operations at Imbumba Aganang Private Party.
Her early career includes roles at Goldman Sachs as a lead analyst and at Y-Merge/SNL as a Sales & Business Development Executive. Merafe holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College. She is fluent in English, Afrikaans, Zulu, and Xhosa, and proficient in French and Spanish.
