Markus is the Managing Director of Renewable Energy at Motseng Investment Holdings since May 2021. He is responsible for developing SMART building solutions and creating value propositions in targeted market segments. Prior to this role, Markus was a Key Account Executive at BlueNova, where he developed strategies for Battery Energy Storage Solutions in the Commercial Real Estate segment.
In 2018, Markus founded TwentySix, a consultancy focused on sales and business development. He also served as Country Head for DPA, overseeing operations in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, and Mozambique, and developed a 70Mw (USD107Mn) pipeline with over 80 blue-chip clients.
From 2018 to 2019, Markus was the Segment Leader for Commercial Real Estate at Schneider Electric in Johannesburg, where he developed a value proposition for energy efficiency and SMART buildings. He also held the position of Sales Director at Ukhuni Business Furniture/Nero Design & Build, where he successfully built a new business development team.
Markus’s earlier roles include Sales Director at Knight Frank and various sales and business development positions at Summer Homes Real Estate, Deloitte, and NeuraTech. He holds a National Senior Certificate from Wynberg Boys High School and was a Rotary Exchange Student in Switzerland.
