Pareto’s gift of hope to the Liv Village

Aug 05, 2014

Liv Village and Pareto share the vision of giving.

The Pareto board of directors together with the Pavilion Shopping Centre team recently visited Liv Village in the Hazelmere area to hand over a R400,000 cheque, which will go towards upgrading the village’s amphitheatre.

This valuable resource, which can accommodate around 2,000 people, is used as an indoor sports centre, a church and as a multipurpose hall. Motseng project management director, Dewald van Staden said that the Pareto team was privileged to be part of an operation and are delighted to see that this initiative had already made considerable progress.

“We all need to realise and understand that it’s not about numbers but about making a difference in the lives of others. Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces makes it even more special,” said Staden. He added that this donation was just a small part of a long-term relationship going forward.

Tich Smith of Liv Village said that the gesture has been welcomed by everyone at the organisation. “It is my dream to be able to start a number of villages across South Africa so that vulnerable, parentless children can grow up in safe and loving family environment where they can receive unconditional love, spiritual discipline, care and nurturing,” he said.
